Many people have accidents that are not their fault. If someone is to blame for an accident that you were injured in, you may be able to make a claim for compensation. Claiming compensation for an injury sustained at home, in work or out and about is very easy, and often free with personal injury specialists.

The first thing to do is to get as many details as you can, such as the date of the accident, how you were injured, the name of the person of responsible (and their contract details) plus the names of any doctors or hospital staff that you saw and a crime number from the police if it was reported.

Once you have this, call a personal injury lawyer. There are many different companies available so you’ll always have plenty to choose from. Give them your details and let them handle it from there.

The personal injury lawyer will probably make an appointment for you to see their consultant to assess the severity of your injuries and whether you need further treatment, such as visits to a physiotherapist.

The personal injury lawyer will also contact the insurance company of the person responsible and deal with the claim on your part. This may be a lengthy process, or it could be quite quick depending on whether the claim is challenged, but at the end of it you should receive compensation for your injuries.
