You may be wondering what you should do after you’ve suffered an injury in an accident to make your claim for compensation move easier. There’s nothing worse than suffering an accident that wasn’t your fault and then finding out that your claim for compensation for injury has failed because of a lack of information, or something has gone wrong.

We’ve already looked at two different types of accidents that can lead to personal injury claims for compensation, accidents and work and RTAs (road traffic accidents) but now we’ll look at two more incidents that can lead to a claim for compensation.

Both of these types of injuries are less common as claims for compensation because proving them is more difficult. They are medical negligence claims and claims for criminal injury.

When it comes to making a claim for compensation, you are able to claim for a wide variety of accidents that were not your fault. You can claim for accidents ranging from car crashes, to falls on the street. So long as someone is to blame, you are able to claim compensation for the accident.

Many people have accidents that are not their fault. If someone is to blame for an accident that you were injured in, you may be able to make a claim for compensation. Claiming compensation for an injury sustained at home, in work or out and about is very easy, and often free with personal injury specialists.

The first thing to do is to get as many details as you can, such as the date of the accident, how you were injured, the name of the person of responsible (and their contract details) plus the names of any doctors or hospital staff that you saw and a crime number from the police if it was reported.

Rebrand for Claims Direct

claims directPersonal injury lawyers is a very competitive industry so staying one step ahead of the game requires a great investment and a slick advertising campaign. One company has just rebranded to cement their place in the market, Claims Direct.

With a new branded website and a new advertising campaign, Claims Direct are hoping to win new business from people who have suffered accidents at work, and injuries that weren’t their fault.

The new TV adverts debuted on Monday night, and can be seen on Sky, ITV and Channel Five. The new slogan for Claims Direct is ‘Claims Direct and to the point’.

The new marketing look has been designed by the company GraphicoDMG, who replaced the previous agency incumbent Air.

Claims Direct went into administration in 2002, and were then bought up by Russell Jones and Walker, a law firm.

Racing driver loses compensation claim

A racing driver who was seriously injured in a crash at Goodwood has had his claim for compensation for personal injury refused by a judge. Malcolm ‘Willie’ Green crashed his 1948 Maserati at Goodwood in 2005, when he lost control of the car while on a corner.

Mr Green was racing in the 2005 Goodwood Trophy event, and was an experienced racing driver having first raced at the venue over 40 years previously.

Janet Jackson not guilty of personal injury

US pop singer Janet Jackson, and sister of Michael Jackson, has just won her caught case against a man who claimed that he bodyguards assaulted him. Leonard Salati was suing Janet Jackson for $110 million after he claimed he was beaten up by her bodyguards outside of a nightclub.

The case was dismissed by a New York court after it ruled that there was no evidence of the assault.

Salati claims that he met Janet in a nightclub in 2005 and spoke to her in the VIP area. When Janet was leaving the club, Salati says he tried to kiss her and give her a piece of paper that contained his (more…)
