US pop singer Janet Jackson, and sister of Michael Jackson, has just won her caught case against a man who claimed that he bodyguards assaulted him. Leonard Salati was suing Janet Jackson for $110 million after he claimed he was beaten up by her bodyguards outside of a nightclub.
The case was dismissed by a New York court after it ruled that there was no evidence of the assault.
Salati claims that he met Janet in a nightclub in 2005 and spoke to her in the VIP area. When Janet was leaving the club, Salati says he tried to kiss her and give her a piece of paper that contained his phone number. He says that Janet’s bodyguards then grabbed him and threw him out of the club, causing him injury.
Salati claimed against Janet Jackson for $110 million in damages for personal injury, alleging that she’s ordered her bodyguards to attack him.
Justice Solomon threw the claim out of court, stating:
There is no evidence that Maldonado assaulted Salati, or that anyone assaulted Salati at Jackson’s direction.
