Car accidents in Europe can be expensive

According to research from Aviva, who used to be known as Norwich Union, car accidents on the continent are more expensive than they are in the UK. In particular, if you suffer a car accident in Germany or France you’ll have to fork out much more than you would in Britain.

Germany is the most expensive place for an accident, possibly because of the number of high value cars in the country, with each car accident costing around £3,000. That’s 50% more than it will cost anywhere else in Europe.

Woman receives personal injury compensation over car crash

Sixty-two-year-old Bruna Long has received a seven figure sum in personal injury compensation after she was injured in a car crash which saw another motorist lose their life.

Mrs Long suffered a stroke following the road traffic accident, in which her husband also suffered personal injuries. The accident happened in 2004 on the A134.

Mrs Long was driving her Honda Accord when she was involved in a car crash with a Mini Cooper, which was being driven by Darren Puljic, who died in the accident. Following an inquest held a year later, in 2005, it was discovered that the accident was the fault of (more…)
