A London schoolboy is seeking personal injury compensation after suffering injury when a school bus run him over. Fifteen-year-old Luke Murtagh was trying to catch the school bus, run by Arriva London South, when he suffered the injury.
Luke approached the school bus as it pulled out of the bus stop, and he knocked the window in the hope that the driver would stop and pick him up. However the bus didn’t stop and Luke was pulled under the wheels, causing him severe personal injuries.
Luke was forced to undergo serious surgical procedures, including cosmetic surgery, following the accident. Luke also suffered nightmares after the incident and required therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder.
Arriva London South has admitted that it was liable for the accident but is disputing the amount of personal injury compensation that needs to be paid.
