When it comes to making a claim for compensation, you are able to claim for a wide variety of accidents that were not your fault. You can claim for accidents ranging from car crashes, to falls on the street. So long as someone is to blame, you are able to claim compensation for the accident.
Here are some types of accidents that you may be able to claim compensation for.
Accidents at work
If you have an accident at work, such as a fall on wet surface or an accident with machinery, you may be able to claim against your employer. It’s important that your employer was at fault in order to make a claim though, so if you fall on a wet surface and there was no sign to say it was wet, then you have a case for a claim. If you are injured using machinery and you were not trained on the machinery, or you were not supplied with the proper safety equipment, then you have a case for a claim.
Car accident
The most common type of car accident is a low velocity rear shunt. These usually happen in car parks, or at traffic lights or roundabouts. They can seem innocuous at first, but you can develop whiplash later that causes great distress and discomfort. If you were hit from behind then you are not at fault and you can claim against the other driver for compensation for your injuries.
There other types of injuries that you can claim for, and we’ll discuss those in another article.
